Student work can be displayed or presented on the Internet using wikis and other web 2.0 tools.
These are some formatting options to display student portfolios, etc:
Create a website with coloful images. Upload Word files (PDF) Include Audio. Website link can be saved i a Word file into a U drive folder, and clicked on by a 9th grade teacher next year.
Example http://cityofcharlestonsc.weebly.com/ Multiple pages for different topics, Voki for welcome message
Requires Adobe Acrobat to be installed on the machine to create the file. Otherwise the Adobe Reader is all that is needed to view the finished (published) file.
Create a "BOOK" with bookmarks to the individual writing pieces. Maybe make a Comment in a text box or recording sound bite for the audience. File may be uploaded to a website or saved into a U drive folder for viewing in 9th grade.
